Updating Admix plugin
When a new version of Admix is available on production, you will be notified by email with a link to download. Alternatively, you will see a notification on the Admix plugin.
Before importing the new package, we encourage you to delete the previous Admix folder, to make a clean install and avoid any data mismatch.
The placements in your scene should become pink.
Now import the new package. Select
Assets → Import Assets → Custom Package
Browse to the destination of the downloaded plugin and import it. Import everything.
The import process can take several minutes. When import is complete, the placements will be coloured again, and you can confirm new version number at the bottom of the plugin window.
Now the new plugin is imported, you need to update your placements, which might inherit new features from the update. The new plugin will prompt you for the Update:
Before clicking Update Placements, you can chose to update All Scenes in build, or just the Active Scene. To update all your Scenes at once, open
File → Build Settings and add your Scenes to the Index.
Scenes do not need to be active/ticked in the Build Index, just add them to it
Update Placements on the plugin, then
Unity will cycle through all your scenes added in the Build Index and your open Scenes, to update/save them.
Updated placements will conserve their previous names. Only newly generated placements will take a new name (the current date)
Once all placements have been updated, you're ready to use the plugin normally.
